Yesterday evening, the first salmon were seen in River Laxá in Kjós. It was the guide Sigurberg Guðbrandsson who saw them and confirmed that he had seen two newcomers, ranging from eight to ten pounds. The first salmon are usually seen in Kvíslarfoss or Laxfossi, just as happened now. Haraldur Eiríksson, the leaseholder of Laxá in Kjós, was exactly right about the dates but earlier this month he said that the first one could be expected on May 23rd or 24th. Anglers can be happy, the salmon has arrived!
