Ljárskógavötn Lakes on Hólmavatnsheiði in Dölum are: Krossaxlarvatn, Fremstavatn, Miðvatn and Neðstavatn. Neðstavatn is 142 m above sea level and 0.48 km². Miðvatn is 165 m above sea level and is 0.36 km². Fremstavatn is the smallest. There is a short distance between the lakes that river Þverá connects and the last flow from Neðstavatn to the salmon river Fáskrúð. The catch is brown trout and Arctic char, and the fish are often a good size. Fishing is also allowed in Þverá, where both char and trout migrate, mostly in the autumn. The way to the lakes runs along a road from the land Ljárskógar which is by the main road more than 10 km west of Búðardalskauptún.
