The Klinkhammer is a popular fly that works well in all trout fishing, on the surface or just below the surface. It was designed by the Dutchman Hans van Klinken and was intended to imitate a caddis or spring fly that is coming to the surface. The Klinkhammer is often used as a secondary fly with a pupa and then often acts as a catch guard.
