River Grenlækur is in Vestur – Skafafellssýsla. In the Seglbúðir area there are sea trout, char, and resident brown trout, and many good fish are caught every year. Some people call this stream Grænalæk and claim that it is the correct name, derived from the fact that it has a green color. The environment is mostly green and friendly. Road no. 204 lies across the creek, and it is easy to get to fishing spots. Salmon are occasionally caught in Grenlækur. It is fished for 2-3 days at a time.
