What can be fished

Description

Kráká on Mývatnsheiði is wilderness fishing at its best. The river is spring fed, has its source in Krákarbotnar and is therefore rather cold. The brown trout grow very slowly but can become quite large. Fishing pressure is not a problem in Kráká, it is fished with few rods, the area is huge and it is usually quite a walk from the car to the river. The experience of anglers, when arriving at a fishing spot, is often that no one has fished there for a long time. The common size of brown trout is 40 – 55 cm, but there are fish in hiding up to 70 cm.
