River Krossá on Skarðsströnd is in Dalasýsla and runs into the sea in Geirmundarvogur. The river is about 15 km in length, but its catchment area is about 47 km². The surroundings at Krossá are beautiful, with shrubby vegetation and with a view over Breiðafjörður. Under normal circumstances, the river is rather shallow and therefore it is necessary to approach fishing spots carefully. This salmon river has 40 varied fishing spots, where it is good to use a worm, but it is also possible to fly fish. The average catch over the last 10 years has been about 150 salmon a year. The river fished two days at a time, from noon to noon. The river is for private use!
