Description
River Laxá in Kjós offers very good sea trout fishing in the spring. This is an exciting option for anglers living or staying in the capital area due to the short distance. It’s not unusual that anglers catch fish that are about 3-4 kg and there are some bigger fish too.

Anglers should arrive at the fishing lodge on the morning of the fishing day at 7:45 a.m. to pick out an area.
Directions
Take road nr. 1 from Reykjavík in the direction to Hvalfjarðar – tunnel. Shortly before coming to the tunnel, take a right turn into Hvalfjörður and drive that road to the bridge over Laxá in Kjós. Drive over the bridge and then immediately to the right. Follow that road for about 1 km and there will be a track to the lodge on the right side.
