Description
This area fishes best early in the summer when the water levels are high and the temperatures low. In these circumstances the fish moves slowly and stops in many places. There are of course exceptions to this rule and there have been years where salmon has been caught in the Munaðarnes area the whole season. In this area there are several good fishing pools and all the fish that on their way to the main fishing area in Norðurá pass through.
