Hvannadalsá is a beautiful salmon river in Ísafjarðardjúp with a diverse selection of fishing spots. It flows through Hvanndalur and into the sea at Langadalsströnd. Hvanndalsá is one of three salmon rivers in Ísafjarðardjúpi and often called the “pearl” in Djúpið. It is the sister river of Langadalsá and they share the same estuary. The fishing area of Hvannadalsá is rather short, up to the waterfall Stekkjarfoss, but the river has much stronger flows and carries than Langadalsá.
