It has been cold in many parts of the country lately and fishing has been difficult for some time. This has especially been the case in the south and east part of Iceland, where it snowed for a while.
“It was snowing here, quite cold and we stopped fishing early,” said an angler who was fishing for sea trout in south-east Iceland.
Despite these unexpected conditions, fishing has been quite good in many places, e.g. in Laxá in Kjós where 250 sea trout have been caught since the opening, April 10th.
