The salmon fishing season in Iceland ended last month in the natural salmon rivers, but fishing is still ongoing in the East and West Rangá rivers. The final numbers from the rivers have been received in the last few days and have now been announced. The outcome is a successful fishing summer after five challenging years.
Below is a list of the fifty rivers we have explored this summer. The first column shows the final count for 2024. Column two shows the catch from last year, while the third column displays the percentage change between years, if that information is provided. The final numbers are in bold.
