Despite the rather miserable weather in the southern part of Iceland recently, anglers have not let it deter them. Hafsteinn M. Sigurðarson and Anna Lea Friðriksdóttir recently went fishing in Lake Villingavatn. Anna successfully caught two impressive giant brown trout. Having an experienced angler on the net who was fully engaged and constantly running towards his fishing partner to net fish was very helpful.
Both anglers used streamers, but the only one that caught the fish’s attention that day was the Hot Head Blue Flash Damsel. Unfortunately, Hafsteinn lost a big fish that chose to take this fly.
