The initial days of fishing at Laxá in Mývatnssveit went well. The fish are in excellent condition, and the most catches were made using various nymphs such as Kibbi (Babbi), Mopp flies, and Pheasant Tail. The spring was warm and exceptionally good. Vegetation took root early, and the midges emerged early as well. Quite a few nice fish were caught, with several over 60 cm in length.

In Iceland, the weather can be unpredictable. Despite a promising beginning, the conditions have deteriorated, and this morning the anglers at the fishing lodge were met with snow.
