What can be fished

Description

River Eyvindarlækur flows from Lake Vestmannsvatni through Lake Sýrnesvatn and Lake Mýlaugsstaðavatn. It is slow flowing (2.5 m3/sec flow) and merges into Laxá in Aðaldal after about 4 km. Brown trout is the main catch but there is a chance of salmon too. The stream was previously part of the fishing area of Reykjadalsá in Reykjadal but is now sold as a separate fishing section at a low price. This is a true dry fly paradise that is fun to visit.
