In Fjarðará there are fine sea-run char, a considerable number of 2 – 3 pounders, but mostly around a pound or a little over. A solitary salmon man also stray into the river. Many people find the river fun to fish, especially with a fly in all the different fishing spots that are available. The best fishing is late summer.
