What can be fished

Description

River Fjarðará has its main source in Heiðarvatni on Fjarðarheiði. The lowest section runs through the town of Seyðisfjörður and it is fishable up to the waterfall Fjarðarselsfoss. In Fjarðará there are fine sea-run char, a considerable number of 2 – 3 pounders, but mostly around a pound or a little over. A solitary salmon man also stray into the river. Many people find the river fun to fish, especially with a fly in all the different fishing spots that are available. The best fishing is late summer.
