Many people know the river Hölkná in Þistilfjörður as it is one of the famous big salmon rivers in the northeast corner of Iceland that many people want to fish. Much has been invested in construction in Hölkná in recent years and the fishing lodge is one of the coolest in the country for a two-rod salmon river. Hölkná is an enjoyable salmon river and has a very high proportion of large salmon. This is a river that all people interested in fishing should try with a group of good friends.
