Description

Many people know the river Hölkná in Þistilfjörður as it is one of the famous big salmon rivers in the northeast corner of Iceland that many people want to fish. Much has been invested in construction in Hölkná in recent years and the fishing lodge is one of the coolest in the country for a two-rod salmon river. Hölkná is an enjoyable salmon river and has a very high proportion of large salmon. This is a river that all people interested in fishing should try with a group of good friends.

Fishing cabin

A very good fishing cabin is included in the permits. There is sleeping space for four people in two double rooms. A service fee is included in the price, so both rooms have made up beds and the house will be cleaned on departure.

River Hölkná is fishable for about 11.5 km from the sea and to the waterfall Geldingafoss and there are 27 marked fishing spots.
