Langholt is an ancient fishing beat of the River Hvítá. It is on the west bank of the river, between Stóru-Ármót and Oddgeirshólar. Over the years, big salmon have been caught in the area and there are many stories about them, In recent years, the number of sea trout in the catch has increased significantly. The average catch is about 200 salmon in recent summers.
Before were permits for Langholt and Halland sold together, that is no longer like that.
