What can be fished

Description

Skuggi is a fishing region in Hvítá in Borgarfjörður, located below the estuary where Grímsá runs into it. This used to be a fine fishing spot, but has in part lost its quality due to sandburst. The trout area at the bottom of Grímsá is included in the fishing . Since net fishing ceased in Hvítá the owner of Hvítárvellir has also leased angling below Skuggi, all the way down to the old Hvítárbridge. The main fishing spots there are Þvottaklöpp & Norðurkot. Usually, several dozen of salmon are caught each summer and often trout fishing is good in this area.
