Description

Lake Laugardælavatn is in Hraungerðishrepp in Árnessýsla and the water in it is colored. The lake is 0.4 km² in area, with a maximum depth of 1.5 m and 22 m above sea level. The creek Rauðilækur flows into the lake, and from it the creeks Ósabotnar to Hvítár and Ós to Ölfusá. There is both brown trout and Arctic char in the lake and there has also been caught sea trout, which probably passes through the creek Ós. Thanks to farmers net fishing, there is a fair

Fishing is permitted in the whole lake. To get to the lake, drive through Selfoss and turn left as soon as you pass through the town, there is a sign pointing to the farm Laugardæli.
