What can be fished

Description

All the fish that migrate up to Ölfusá, Stóra Laxá, Sogið, Brúará, Hvítá and Tungufljót in Biskupstungar go through Ölfusárós. The mainstream of the river lies by the eastern bank, where anglers can expect salmon, sea-run char, sea trout and even sea fish to bite. It is most common, however, to get sea trout there.

Fishing rules

Fishing licenses are non-refundable. The buyer undertakes to record all catches conscientiously in a specially prepared fishing logbook.

A summer permit/card to the area costs ISK 18,000
