What can be fished

Description

This river is in Möðrudalsöræfi, not far from Möðrudalur. Staðará is a good “beginner river” as there are a lot of small char that are willing to take the fly. There are good numbers of plump one-pound char, but char up to six pounds have also been caught. The river flows into Skarðsá, which is a bigger and more popular fishing river. Those who stay overnight in Möðrudalur can fish in the river free of charge.
