Lake Þverárvatn and Pollur are on Jökuldalsheiði, a short distance south of lake Ánavatn but its drainage falls through the other two, through a stream called Kíll. From Þverárvatn, which is 0.64 km² and at 519 m above sea level, River Þverá flows to Jökulsá. Both lakes are quite small, especially Pollurinn. There are fish in both lakes, decent Arctic char, but smaller than in Ánavatn. There is also a fishing in River Þverá. There has not been much demand for fishing licenses in these lakes, as it is close to Ánavatn, which most people consider a better option.
