Lake Torfdalsvatn is in Skagahreppur in Austur-Húnavatnssýsla. It is about 0.5 km² in area, quite deep and at 52 m above sea level. Road connection is good because the highway runs along the west side. There are a lot of good char in the lake and the brown trout can be big. For a long time, the lake was not used due to word of mouth about poisonous inverted fish. After net fishing for a while, the fish began to grow and thrive.
