Description
Lake Víkurvatn is located on Víkurheiði above Vaðlavík, not far south of the road that runs from Eskifjörður to Vaðlavík. Not many lakes in Iceland are public, but this applies to Víkurvatn and everyone can fish there. There are a lot of brown trout in the lake, and they are lively fighting fish despite their small size. All legal bait works well and those who choose to use a fly often use a variety of nymphs. There are a lot of one pound fish, but there are some bigger fish. FREE FISHING
