The modest river Hallá flows gently into the sea right by Skagaströnd. It’s a small river, 16 km long and the fishing area is about 10 km. Hallá is fished with two rods for the whole season. The river has always been popular, both for families and small fishing groups, and many “Maríulaxar”* have been caught from that river. This is an environmentally sensitive river and therefore it is necessary to protect it as much as possible.
