The company R&M ehf, which operates Iceland Fishing Guide and Icelandic Adventures, has signed a lease agreement for fishing rights in the river Litlaá and Lake Skjálftavatn in Kelduhverfi. Matthías Þór Hákonarson owns R&M and leases several rivers, including Mýrarkvísl, Reykjadalsá, and Lónsá. Last week, an agreement was signed between Matthías and the board of Litluár’ Fishing Club at the hotel in Skúlagarður.
Matti, as he is always called, was thrilled with the five-year contract that was signed to start in the summer of 2026. The river Litlaá and Lake Skjálftarvatn are popular fishing areas, and already numerous inquiries about fishing licenses have been received.
