Poor weather conditions and snow-blocked roads between Akureyri and Kelduhverfi delayed the arrival of the first anglers to the river on the opening day of April 1st. They didn’t get to start until on the second shift. Despite the short day, 33 fish were caught, with several of them measuring about 70 cm. The weather today is better, with cold temperatures, calm conditions, and sunshine.
