It is not possible to say that there is much power in salmon fishing. In most rivers that have opened, fishing starts slowly. The first group, fishing three days in River Norðurá, landed ten salmon and the same number of fish was landed in River Þverá and Kjarrá, so together they have given 20 salmon. River Blanda is very calm, but no salmon was caught there in the first days.
More rivers will open in the next few days and salmon have been seen in some of them e.g. Laxá í Dölum
