Description
This great char river is in Fljótum and the fishing there has been good in recent years. In this area there is almost only char, although salmon and brown trout may also be found in the river. The surroundings of the river are considered to be peaceful and beautiful. The highest catch in the river was 2004 when 2874 char were caught. In recent years the average catch has been around 920 char. The river is fished two to three days at a time.
Accommodation & Facilities
Angling lodge
The fishing house is nice with three rooms and easily accommodates 8 people. All necessities are in the house, but anglers need to bring sheets and towels. There is a gas grill and storage for waders near the house. Guests are asked to clean the house after their stay. There is no crib or baby chair on site. Dogs are not allowed in the house or by the river.
Directions: Drive up Flókadalsveg and turn in by Vestur-Hól, there is the fishing house

The catch limit is 8 char per shift and there is no quota for brown trout
