What can be fished

Description

Haugatjarnir are two ponds, located near the farm Haugar in Skriðdalur. They contain brown trout, rather small fish but good to eat . This is an ideal fishing opportunity for families and those who are taking their first steps in angling. Relatively consistent fishing through the whole season.

Fishing rules

Holders of the Fishing Card are allowed to camp free of charge by the lake, at their own risk. It should be noted that there is no organized campsite or sanitary facilities at the site.

Please do not leave rubbish and it is strictly forbidden to drive off-road. Holders of the Fishing Card need to register their card number and ID number with the supervisor, Hugrún Sveinsdóttir at Haugar. Children under 14 fish for free.
