What can be fished

Description

River Hvítá is a pure glacial river until rain fed tributaries join it on the way to the sea. These are good salmon rivers and their estuaries, where they merge with Hvítá. Gíslastaðir is an ancient fishing beat on the river Hvítá. It is on the west bank of the river, by Hestfjall. Over the years, many big salmon have been caught in the area and many adventures have taken place. In recent years sea trout have increased significantly.
