What can be fished

Description

Krókavatn is a heath lake, east of Norðurá, on Holtavörðuheiði. It lies at 350 m above sea level and its estimated size is 0.18 km². While driving north over Holtavörðuheiði, turn off the main road at the first gravel pits on the heath. Drive through the pits and up the track that leads to the lake. It is a beautiful setting and there are decent fish, both Arctic char and brown trout.

NOTE! the lake does not belong to Fishing club of Arnarvatnsheiði. The number of rods available is not limited, but groups can rent the lake and have exclusive use.
