What can be fished

Description

Laugarvatn is a lake in Laugardalur in Bláskógabyggð. By the lake stands a village with the same name. The lake is shallow, with a maximum depth of 2 meters, with a clayey bottom. The lake has Arctic char and there is a possibility of good fishing. It is good to fish in the spring where the hot water flows into the water in front of the village Laugarvatn. Laugarvatn is connected to the river Hólaá and Lake Apavatn. Several farms own land by the lakes and Hólaá and each one sells for his land. The fishing is best in the spring and early summer.

Fishing rules

Anglers that buy permits for River Hólaá in the land of Útey, can also fish part of Lake Laugarvatn. When anglers come to fish, they need to stop at the farm for information on the number on the gate that needs to be crossed, to get down to the lake. At the end of the fishing day, it is important to submit catch numbers.
