What can be fished

Description

Leirá is an entertaining sea trout & salmon river and is suitable for small groups of fishing partners or families that want to have a nice time. The river is rather neat and it is important to be careful on the riverbank to achieve good results. There are 24 marked fishing spots in the river that all have good access, especially in the lower part of the river. Up to 60 salmon are caught in Leirá annually, wich is fair based in a river of that size. In addition to good sea trout fishing in the spring, arctic char is often caught in the estuary early season.

Accommodation & Facilities

The fishing lodge is fine. It accommodates 4-5 people; one bedroom with two beds and a sleeping loft where 2-3 persons can sleep on mattresses. Anglers may come to the fishing lodge at 20:00 p.m. the day before fishing and they must clean and tidy the house before 19:00 p.m. on the day of departure. People are asked to take all rubbish with them from the lodge.
