What can be fished

Description

River Mýrarkvísl is one of many tributaries of Laxá in Aðaldal and, like the Laxá, is known for its breathtaking landscape. Mýrarkvísl flows into the Laxá about 4km from the estuary. Although Mýrarkvísl is a tributary of Laxá, they are different in character. Mýrarkvísl is a small river that needs a careful approach by the angler to be successful. It is not only a good salmon river, but also great for brown trout fishing and a lot of good trout are often caught in the spring. Trout more than 50 cm long are often caught and there are quite a few over 60 cm.
