What can be fished

Description

It was considered advisable to name this Selvatn the front one, as it is located on the outskirts of Skagaheiði. It contains both brown trout and char and a considerable number of each species. There is good access to the lake via a trail that runs from road 745 between the towns of Hafnir and Kaldrana. Ice fishing has also been practiced in the lake during the winter.

Fishing rules

If people are going to the lake in the winter, they are asked to contact Vignir in Höfn, t: +354 453-4163, for information about conditions.

Directions

Fishing is allowed in the whole lake
