What can be fished

Description

Syðri Brú is an enjoyable salmon section and one of the few single rod salmon fishing areas in the country. Over the years the area has often had the highest catch on a rod in a river. A large number of char and trout are also caught on the Syðri Brú beat. The best fishing spot is Landaklöpp, which is at the top of the beat straight down from the house. Fishermen should be reminded that all fishing is prohibited from the old bridge above Landaklöpp.

Accommodation & Facilities

Fishing cabin

The beat has a new extremely cozy house with all amenities. It can accommodate 10-12 people. It has good cooking facilities and a gas grill on the terrace. There is a room for waders, an operation table and a freezer. Anglers must bring blankets and sheets, rags and towels. Also detergent and soap.

Fishing rules

It is allowed to take one grilse per shift, under 70 cm. All brown trout and Arctic char that are caught may be taken.

Directions

The fishing section is rather short, reaching from Landaklöpp down to Sakkarhólmi, or about 2.5 km. In total there are 8 fishing spots.
