What can be fished

Description

Svínavatn is south of the intersection of Skálholsvegur no. 35 and Laugarvatnsleiðar no. 37. The lake is 90 m above sea level and has an area of 44 km². It has brown trout and fishing is only from one place, the waterway pier. Fishing opportunities are usually best in the early morning and in the evening. Fishing begins as soon as the ice melts, which is usually in May. Mostly fly fishing, but it has been difficult to get the fish to take worm.

Directions

It is possible to fish from the waterway pier.
