What can be fished

Description

River Þverá in Vatnsþverdal falls into Haukadalsá at the fishing spot Blóti, just below the fishing lodge at Haukadalsá. It is 13 km long with lots of unmarked fishing spots. The river loops down a deserted valley and forms many enjoyable pools and runs along its course. . There is no road by the river and anglers need to be prepared to walk 10 – 20 km each day. Fishing days in the river are “set in moderation”, permits are just sold for Saturdays, Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. For those who enjoy “neat” fishing and great outdoor activities, this river is perfect.

There is no hunting cabin by the river but we point out accommodation options nearby
